Christy Chudy R.M.T.

& Clinic Coordinator

Christy Chudy RMT, has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2006.  She graduated from CDI College’s Massage Therapy Program and is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.  Christy’s professional portfolio includes Myofascial Release Techniques, Deep Tissue Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish Massage, Cupping, Prenatal and Postnatal Massage and Soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).

Throughout her career she has developed a keen interest in treating patients suffering from complicated neck and shoulder conditions which include headaches, nerve compression, frozen shoulder and rotator cuff injuries.  Christy is constantly developing herself and advancing her techniques and is interested in taking a course on neurokinetic therapy which is a manual therapy that identifies the cause of pain and dysfunction through specific muscle testing techniques. Christy’s philosophy is to ‘treat the cause over the symptom’ by re-balancing the body as a unit for optimal function.  She has been practising for over 15 years and has treated many patients back to optimal health from postural imbalances, chronic pain syndromes and crippling shoulder injuries.

Patient’s conditions can be diverse and present as an array of issues that may not be caused by the same mechanisms but can be related nonetheless, which is why May addresses the root cause and believes that ‘prevention is better than a cure’.  Throughout her years of experience May has demonstrated to focus on patient care and also enjoys treating patients suffering from conditions such as whiplash, headaches and improper posture.

Paula Torres R.M.T.

Paula graduated from the Humber College RMT program in 2018 and is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Throughout her internships at Humber College she gained experience treating patients for muscular imbalances, athletic injuries, plantar fasciitis, headaches and mental/health addictions.  Her professional focus is on Swedish Massage, Cupping, Trigger Point, Scar Tissue, Fascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, Local Lymphatic Drainage and Prenatal & Postnatal Massages.

Paula takes a holistic approach when treating patients, taking into consideration everything the patient is experiencing and treats the whole issue because oftentimes there are other areas affected that need to be addressed to help patients reach optimal health. She is currently taking a Cupping course to advance her technique as well as a TMJ treatment course.  She is enthusiastic to learn about movement based diagnostic systems so she can better ‘find the cause of pain and not just treat the source’ which goes inline with her holistic approach to treating patients.  Her goal is to apply an evidence-based approach by combining manual and movement-based therapy to each treatment giving her patients exactly what they want, whether it’s the reduction of pain, the increase of mobility, or even just a sense of relaxation.
